Here is one beautiful stone, whose orange translucense is simply luscious. The ancient Egyptians were very keen on this stone and you will see many of their artifacts and jewelery made out of it. It was a very popular stone during the Art Deco period. Carnelian is making a come back as an "in stone". LL&L, Christopher Ree…

Hi all, Here is the gemstone of the week, Chrysoprase.
Hi all, This apple green stone holds all the attributes of jade, adventurine, and even turquoise. The crystalline form of this stone is very powerful. Its densest form can look very similar to turquoise, and is often mistaken for it. Enjoy this stone. Ask for it at your local gem shop. Love, Light, &… Continue

Hi all, Well, it is about time that I talked about some of the big guns of the gemstone world. Let's start with the Emerald. This lovely green stone is absolutely my favorite of the major gems. There is nothing like a beautifully clear green marquis cut emerald. Such a stone is very expensive and prohibitive in price, but wait. You can get rough and uncut stones that are not of… Continue

The Herkimer Diamond is actually not a diamond at all, but a form of some of the clearest quartz crystal to be found anywhere. Its clarity and brilliance has brought this form of quartz the nomer of "diamond". Herkimer shines with an inner light that automatically draws one's attention. It is no wonder that it is highly prized and sought after. One year at the Ottawa Gem Show, I was… Continue

is often called "Fool's Gold". It looks very much like gold, but of course, it
is not. It forms cubic crystals that are quite attractive. It is mainly
composed of iron and has a slight magnetic charge similar to hematite. Pyrite
is easily found in gem and mineral shops, and of course through… Continue

Hi all, Moss agate is for me the stained glass of stones. A slice of moss agate in your kitchen window will bring you luck and prosperity. The light shines through it showing off the green tendrils that gives this stone its name. There are many kinds of agate, but this one is my favorite. Love, Light, & Laughter, Christopher Ree

There are many forms of agate, but blue lace agate is very special. It creates a very high vibration that allows one to tune into their spiritual side. It is a very soothing stone that lends itself to patience and compassion. It is becoming more and more popular and you will see more and more of it at gem shows and rock shops. It is very affordable… Continue

I am revisiting tourmaline this week. This is due to my attending the Tomoka Gem & Mineral Show at the Volusia County Fairgrounds this weekend. As usual, I cruised each and every booth and I must say this gem show is one of the best for its size, with high quality gems and minerals at good prices. In my foray throughout the show, one piece caught my eye in… Continue
